SEO London is a not-for-profit organisation that every year provides hundreds of outstanding undergraduates from under-represented ethnic minority backgrounds the unique opportunity to gain exposure to some of the most prestigious graduate employers in the UK, including many of the very best firms in investment banking, management consulting, corporate law, professional services, technology, advertising, marketing and communications. Opportunities are available for students in every year of study, from internships to full time graduate roles. In 2012 SEO London will offer more than 750 internships and graduate opportunities with more than 35 partner firms.

Programme Description
Interested in a career with a top investment bank? In the last eleven years SEO has helped more than 1,200 undergraduates secure internships and full time positions with the elite City investment banks. SEO is able to provide opportunities in every investment banking division and for undergraduates in every year of study. In addition to internships and graduate roles in this sector, SEO also provides comprehensive training, mentoring and networking opportunities to ensure those supported excel. Since 2000, more than 80% of eligible SEO interns have received full-time job offers from sponsor banks following their internships.
Programme Description
For those considering a legal career in the City SEO can provide access to one or more vacation placements with many of the leading Magic Circle, Silver Circle and US law firms based in London. In addition, students can also complete legal and compliance internships at top investment banks. Those selected to take part will have significant access to all City law firms participating in the scheme as well as taking part in a comprehensive training and mentoring programme to prepare them for their experience. More than 100 vacation placements were provided through SEO in 2011, with a very high proportion going on to secure training contracts – 14 at Linklaters alone. The number of placements available in 2012 will exceed to 150 and will include Winter, Easter and Summer vacation placements.
Programme Description
SEO’s professional services programme offers students the opportunity to complete internships or be considered for graduate roles at all of the Big Four professional service firms. SEO’s programme covers all divisions, from audit and tax to corporate finance and consulting. SEO also provides additional consulting opportunities with Accenture and other elite strategy houses. In the last two years 95% of those that have completed an internship through the SEO professional services scheme have secured a full time graduate offer. As with other SEO programmes selected students will also receive comprehensive training and mentoring support.
Programme Description
Do you have a strong interest in technology as well as finance or consulting? If you have an interest in computer languages, infrastructure, engineering and/or systems or business analysis, you might be well-suited to some of the most interesting and highly paid technology jobs in the world. SEO London offers training, mentoring, summer internships, year-long industrial placements and graduate roles within the technology businesses at some of the top investment banks in the City as well as technology consulting opportunities with firms including Accenture and FactSet.

Interested in working for some of the most well known multinational companies? SEO London offers internships and graduate opportunities at global corporate firms such as Procter & Gamble, Novartis, Factset, etc. Opportunities vary with each firm and include exciting opportunities in a range of divisions including consulting, marketing, finance and technology. So if you’re looking for an exciting career with great variety and travel opportunities in some of the fastest growing industries, the SEO Corporates programme could be for you.
Programme Description
Are you interested in a more creative field? SEO is partnering with the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and its 250+ member agencies to help better educate students from under-represented ethnic backgrounds about the career options in the creative, digital and media industries. SEO and the IPA will be conducting training and networking events throughout 2012 to provide students with access to both many of the leading agencies and also practical experience of the wide variety of work and graduate roles available in the advertising industry. Those that impress will be considered for internships (including the IPA Summer School) and graduate opportunities with leading agencies.

Are you a first year student interested in learning more about career options in the City and possibly being fast tracked for the most competitive and rewarding internship programmes available? In December 2011 SEO London will be hosting three mini internship programmes for 300 first year ethnic minority undergraduates keen to learn more about one or more of the investment banking, corporate law and professional services industries. Those selected to attend will also be fast tracked for further work experience opportunities with one or more of our 35 partner financial service firms.
Programme Description
SEO London offers outstanding GSCE and A Level students from under-represented or underprivileged backgrounds the opportunity to become SEO Scholars. With support from alumni of our career programmes as well as volunteers from SEO partner firms and leading universities, Scholars are provided with access to the role models, information and training required to make informed decisions regarding educational progression and career options.
Training begins at school, with SEO university and career education seminars. Students then selected to become SEO Scholars will receive tutoring from university students in the subjects they wish to pursue and mentoring from professionals working in careers of potential interest. SEO Scholars also have the opportunity to complete work experience with the UK’s best employers and attend SEO’s residential summer school in London to ensure that they are perfectly prepared for university.

SEO Connect provides SEO’s alumni and its supporters with access to experienced career opportunities across a great range of industries including private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate law, technology, professional services and more creative sectors.
