SEO Training

The SEO training programme is designed to address each student’s individual development priorities and combines technical and interpersonal skills training to ensure they are able to outperform their peers during the summer.

SEO interns in investment banking, professional services and technology will receive up to 60 hours of interactive online training, specific to the business area they will be interning in.  no other interns will have access to this training – it is normally only provided to firm’s graduate analyst class.  SEO vacation scheme students will receive up to 30 hours of such training to prepare them for the law firms they will be spending time with.

All students participating in the scheme will also receive regular in person training in the months leading up to their internship, both in groups and also one on one.  These sessions will be designed to prepare them for both the tasks they will be expected to complete during their placements and also for their end of placement graduate interviews. 

For investment banking and professional service interns this will cover excel and power-point training, as well as more specific training for the division they will be interning in (e.g. building a valuation model for those interning in IBD, attending training at Bloomberg and completing trading simulations for those interning in Markets, accounts analysis for those going into Audit, etc.).  For corporate law vacation scheme students in person SEO training will include several modules on commercial awareness and in depth sessions covering the specific work undertaken on vacation schemes and overviews of all of the major practice areas. 

All students taking part in SEO will be given access to extensive soft skills training to ensure you make the best possible impact with your team.  This includes presentation skills training from professional coaches and interactive training exercises with recent alumni of the programme.  SEO trainers are typically industry professionals with a minimum of ten years business experience.
