Interview Questions you Should Expect When Applying for a Private Wealth Management Internship

Private Wealth Management Candidate must be confident yet of a mature disposition.
Private Wealth Management Must be a team player and must show a strong desire to work in our area with committment being obvious to spot.
Private Wealth Management Should show an extensive amount of background reading both about the division and the financial industry as a whole as well as being interested in financial markets.
Private Wealth Management Do you read financial press?  Talk me through an interesting article that you have recently read.
Private Wealth Management How do you deal with difficult interactions e.g. someone is very short of time and cannot explain something in full?
Private Wealth Management What interest do you have in financial markets?  do you know if the ftse is up or down so far this year?
Private Wealth Management Tip: A general awareness of some of the recent big announcements e.g. today 20th Sept, we would expect them to know about the overnight thai coup and think logically about some of the possible effects on markets
Private Wealth Management For me, the key is confidence and showing a maturity to work in a professional environment even if they are only 21.  I think the leading uni's are very good at prepping their candidates regarding this and they come across very polished.  Many of the other unis don't give any interview preparations ( I certainly know that from Swansea uni where I studied) therefore they come across as quite amateur / not prepared / confident etc. Thsese candidates should seek out opportunities to do practice interviews with people from the industry.
